Altogether 303 prophets were sent by Allah to provide guidance to mankind in the need to worship the one and only God or Allah, but only 25 of them are regarded as being the leading Prophets or Messengers of Allah, beginning with Adam, pbuh and ending with Muhammad, pbuh. Among these 25 Messengers are Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Noah Joseph, Ishmael, Moses, David, Solomon, and Jesus. These prophets were sent by Allah to their respective people during their time to deliver messages from Allah about worship and ways of life.

Why was God sent to earth?

The question is confusing. It is asking why was God sent to earth?. This means that God was sent by someone. It is not logic that anyone has a will and capacity over God to send Him to earth. The other point, God is every where every time on earth or any where else. God is the All-Knowing by every thing in the universe and beyond it. So, God doesn't need to come down to earth to see what is going there.

Why do Christians see Jesus as the fulfillment of all God's promises?

God also promises us many things like comfort, and that He will always provide for us. Jesus offers us these things and more when we decide to turn to Him, and live for Him. God promised that a Savior would be sent, not only to preach the word of God but to die for man's sins, so that they would have the opportunity to return to God. If they obeyed the word of God as preached by Christ, His atonement would not have been in vain. Also, because God sent Prophets to the Jewish people for every generation, until the arrival of Jesus Christ the Messiah. Once the Messiah came, God did not send any more Prophets, as they were only 'forerunners' who prepared the way and predicted the coming of the Messiah. When Jesus came to Earth, there was no longer a need for any prophets, as the Law and the Prophets had been fulfilled by His Son (Matthew 5:17).
