Islam is only one Religion. There are two major Islam schools or groups, namely Sunnis and Shiites. However, all people in these two groups are Muslims. They have the same main beliefs and believe in same Islam five pillars. They differ in very minor Islamic issues that are not critic. They all pray in the same mosque facing same direction and led during gathering praying with a leader that could be belonging to either of the two groups. This is different than Christianity that is one religion but has many denominations and following different churches.
