Typically a good range is $50-$75 and can go up as high as you want. It depends on how involved you are in their lives, how many nieces and nephews you have. The more you have determines the dilution of monetary output you can afford for them all, assuming you would want to treat all of the equal and spend the same on them all.

A person should only gift in a range the person can afford. If all you can do is give an inexpensive book or small gift, that is perfectly fine! If anyone doesn't like this point of view, they are missing the point of this rite/Sacrament. Remember, Christ walked among the poor and chastised the rich. Don't get caught up in feeling your gift must be big or cost a lot!
