I'm a Christian and follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, I believe that all monotheistic religions have similar beliefs and teachings. What ever religion you want to follow is up to you and I will not discriminate against you for it.

For the finest expression of Christian teaching on life, and how to live it, Christians will generally point to the Sermon on the Mount (Gospel of Matthew 5-7). Included in this sermon is the important teaching on dealing with those who show hostility to his followers on account of his name:

• Jesus said, "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you."

Christians believe that God will vindicate them, certainly at the end of time, but they also accept that this vindication can come in earthly time as well, as happened with the failure of the persecutions of the Roman State launched against the Christian Church, which actually failed miserably when viewed on a sufficiently long time frame.

Sometimes Christians get impatient to see this vindication, but if it is not God's time, it often does not turn out well. Nevertheless, Christ's teachings stand despite the mistakes made by Christians.

There are many other teachings in the Sermon on the Mount, and in the rest of the New Testament, that Christians believe Jesus brought to mankind from God, and that we find worthy to follow. These include:

• Jesus said, "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven."

So Jesus taught us to strive to live lives that will be recognized by others as showing God's love for mankind. This is a worthy objective.

Islamic ViewIslam is an Arabic word that means full submission to Allah (God in English and same God in Christianity and Judaism). In this sense the only religion on earth is Islam in its general sense as all God creatures were created on basis of submission (Islam) to God. Islam per Torah revelation to Moses is called Judaism. Islam per The Bible revelation to Jesus is called Christianity. Islam per Quran revelation to Muhammad is called the same name Islam as it is the last God religion and last God holy book revelation.

Quran was revealed by God to prophet Muhammad through the angel Jibril (or Gabriel) to correct for the deviations introduced into the previous faiths and worships. Quran is proved as the only God holy book that is revealed in the same live language (Arabic) and remained without a single letter change or alterations. Quran included many scientific statements that their authenticity are only proved recently through the current advancement in sciences and discoveries. This explains why many non Muslims (including priests and non Muslim religious leaders) convert to Islam.
