AnswerIt is not actually accurate to describe Hinduism as a religion. It is more like "a way of life". Cast is bad. but you have to know where that is coming from. A while ago, there were philosophers, teachers known as "gurus" who used to dedicate their whole life just for knowledge, then there were groups who used to be involved with politics etc etc. These groups of people were divided into the different cast classes. Which, if you just open your eyes, are seen everywhere. Wealthy people vs. poor, educated people vs. non educated. Its the same principle. Though cast system was reinforced strongly before, its not the case anymore. Different regions have different points of view and customs and that makes up Hinduism. There are no strict laws like other religions have, infact there are no laws. You should do what you feel is right. The main book, Gita, tells about a story, you will not find commands in it. Though I am telling you this, you have to do your own research and really understand to judge.
