Islam is a system from which all principles of democracy got evolved : protection of human rights . giving right of property and nice treatment for ladies , rights of prisoners , respect for all religions , protection of faith and worship places of all religions , helping the poor ,widows and orphans , technical education and employment chances , strict accountability , protection of children ladies and elders of all religions , decisions based on consulting the public , provision of justice , laws equal for every one , no special status for rulers or officials , excellent relationship with neighbors and there is a long list . Any thing wrong being followed or practiced is not a way of life in Islam. Social security and respect for senior citizen are also principles from Islam.
