A religion is a belief system which includes belief in something greater than human, which is regarded with reverence; this can be a God or gods, it can be a state of spiritual transcendence or enlightenment, or other esoteric spiritual values.
Silence is something that makes a confusion. When you ask someone and if he or she become silent then you can't determine whether he or she is thinking positive or negative. This make a confusion and it makes people uneasy.

Many religions also teach high moral values and include codes of conduct, but these are not essential to religion - in fact such codes of conduct have at times been more honoured in the breach.
