pros: it gives you something to live for, helps you in hard times, it gives you hope

cons: maybe gods a bad person and u end up in hell.

but over all religion is a good thing unless you kill people for it or go door to door trying to convert people

pros: it allows everyone to believe and practice whatever they want. and it allows people to be whatever religion they want giving everyone an equal right.

cons: freedom of religion causes a lot of discrimination and hatred for certain religions (for example 9/11). and there are also some murder cases where people harm others due to the fact that they are not the same religion.

Cons of the policy of freedom of religion can be described firstly as the practices themselves. Practices may involve sacrifices or rituals that are not taken kindly by other religious groups. That brings it to another disadvantage: Hate and discrimination can fuel attacks,murder and in extreme cases, terrorism.

Pros--provides community, a perspective on life and its meaning, transcendence. Helps you not be selfish. Provides ethical guidelines. Provides comfort and sometimes healing.

Cons--the teachings can be irrational or random. As the teachings are not necessarily based on reason, religion can make people do stupid things, like the mass murder of war, genocide, and the killing of heretics.
