All of God's Holy Day Feasts should be observed by Christians... but a deceived world doesn't understand that. ["...that old Serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world..." - Rev.12:9].
The seven annual feasts of God, listed in Leviticus 23, are all "Christ-centered."
The "Feast of Trumpets" [like the Passover, Days of Unleavened Bread and Pentecost] shall also come to be literally fulfilled by Jesus Christ upon His return to earth with the Kingdom of God: AT THE LAST TRUMP! [see the "seven Trumpet plagues of God" - Revelation chapters 8 thru 11].
The Feast of Trumpets looks forward with the Hope and Expectation of Jesus' triumphant return with His angelic military force [see Rev.19], to save the earth from the results of man's self-destructive ways. Of this time, to which Jesus refers as "Great Tribulation"... He tells us:
"For then shall be Great Tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be [again]. And except those days should be shortened, there should be no flesh saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened." (Matt.24:21-22)
The "trumpet plagues" will be called down on the earth by the "Two Witnesses" whom we are told will be the main ones prophesying and testifying to the Kingdom and gospel of Christ during the Great Tribulation before the Beast and False Prophet:
"...I will give power unto My Two Witness, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days... [three-and-a-half years; the same allotted time of the Great Tribulation, the Beast and the False Prophet - "...there was given unto him {the Beast} a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given to him {by the Dragon; Satan} to continue forty and two months {three-and-a-half years}."]
"These [the Two Witnesses] have the power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy [three-and-a-half years]: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues [with any and all of the trumpet plagues], as often as the will." (Rev.11:6) See also Revelation chapter 8 for the effects of some of these plagues)
The last trumpet is sounded in Revelation 11... at the completion of the Two Witnesses' testimony... which will be at the end of the "Divinely-shortened" Great Tribulation... just before the world is about to self-destruct.
The Two Witnesses will be killed by the Beast "three-and-a-half days" before the LAST TRUMPET sounds... and Jesus Christ returns. At which time, the "dead in Christ shall rise first" [among whom the Two Witnesses will be two], to "meet Him in the clouds in the air."
"...their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.... And after three days and an half the Spirit of Life from God entered into them, and stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them. And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them...
"And the seventh angel [with the seventh and last trump of God] sounded; and there were great voices in heaven saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ; and He shall reign for ever and ever...
"We give thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy Great Power, and hast reigned..." (Rev.11:8-17)
The "Feast of Trumpets" should be the almost desperate Hope and Expectation of every Christian on earth... because the utter collapse of society as we now know it is visibly on the horizon for all the nations on earth. And in that light... should be the expectation of all the nations on the earth -- except for the deception of the god that this world worships [including his "false, deceived Christian" denominations].
"And they [all the world] worshipped the Dragonwhich gave power unto the Beast: and they worshipped the Beast..." (Rev.13:4).
Since the Garden of Eden, man chose his god... the one that appealed to his limited senses and selfish desires. And the world greedily, enviously, jealously and lustfully stumbled through the generations of man.
But there are those whom God has "called out of the world" to understand His Truth and His Word. There are those who understand the prophetic meaning of all of God's annual Holy Day Feasts.
They know that the conclusion of God's plan... and the "fall harvest" is near.
They know that "the end of man's rule on earth" begins with Jesus' return to earth. And that His return will be at the "last trumpet."
"...for the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first..." (I Thess.4:16).
"...in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump..." (I Cor.15:52).
They know that the "Feast of Trumpets" [and all the other commanded Holy Days listed in The Bible] ARE Christian Holy Days!
They all point to Jesus Christ.
