Christians believe it is everyone's duty to look after the environment because they view stewardship of creation as a fundamental aspect of their faith. The Bible teaches that God created the Earth and entrusted humanity with its care, as seen in Genesis 2:15, which calls for people to "till and keep" the garden. This sense of responsibility reflects a broader commitment to love one's neighbor, as environmental degradation can harm communities and future generations. Additionally, many Christians see caring for the environment as a way to honor God's creation and promote justice and compassion in the world.
They believe they have a duty to help the poor.
Many Christians believe they have a duty to talk about their belief in the existence of God. Even when people believe, not in the existence of God but in the existence of other gods, some Christians insist on voicing their opinion that he exists. Of course, on a level playing field, those who do not believe in the existence of God have an equal duty to express their beliefs.
Everyones getting taxed one way or another
Christians strongly believe that their religion is the one true religion. Some Christians also believe that they have a duty to convert followers of all other religions, to Christianity. For some, there may even be a sense that it is in some way irrational for others not to convert readily to Christianity, when told what Christians believe. Also, it is a requirement among certain minor Christian sects and denominations for young adults to spend up to two years attempting to convert others.
It is not true to say that Christians and atheists always fight. Most atheists have little interest in what others around them believe, and are very willing to allow others to hold different views to their own. While most Christians believe that there is a duty to convert others to believe in God, they also accept the inherent right of others to hold different views if they wish to do so. However, a small minority of Christians take the supposed duty to convert others to believe in God very seriously. They actively assert that only their worldview is correct and challenge atheists regarding their beliefs. Atheists must respond, and usually do so moderately, although a very few such as Richard Dawkins respond in kind.
Christians strongly believe that their religion is the one true religion. Some have difficulty accepting that followers of other religions believe just as strongly that their own religion is the true religion. There may even be a sense for some Christians that it is in some way irrational for others not to convert readily to Christianity, when told what Christians believe. Some Christians also believe that they have a duty to convert followers of all other religions, to Christianity. This Question is potentially broader than religion but, since it has been categorised in part as a religious Question, I will give that perspective. Certain religions are known as 'proselytising' religions and strongly encourage their followers to convert others to that religion. So, Christians believe that they have a duty to convert followers of all other religions, to Christianity, while Muslims believe that they have a duty to convert followers of all other religions, to Islam. Judaism was once seen as a proselytising religion, but less so now. Many Christians strongly believe that their religion is the one true religion and, for some, there may even be a sense that it is in some way irrational for others not to convert readily to Christianity, when told what Christians believe. Also, it is a requirement among certain minor Christian sects and denominations for young adults to spend up to two years attempting to convert others.
All Muslim believe that all forms of bullying are wrong due to the immorality of the deed and all followers of Islam believe that they have a duty to stop all forms of evil. In addition, they believe the same to Christians in that bullying is ALWAYS wrong, regardless, of place or time.
Some Christians view it as duty to God, but it isn't commanded in the Bible. And for some it is utopian, at least in their hopes, but for others it is not.
I believe Call of Duty 1, 2 and 3
Some Christians might love Jesus more than their own children, but it is very difficult to test the level of any person's love for any one or any thing. There are Christians who allow their children to die in order to follow their faith, but these are very rare examples of Christianity. Most Christians believe that one's duty to God includes caring for one's children, so the two come into conflict very rarely.
It depends on the season dates. I believe last year was 155 duty days.
