Erich Von Daniken was proved wrong by Francis on his theory of alien contact in 1948. He proved this by the experiment that he held where he used and other chemical substances such as chlorine and iodine to show that aliens do not exist.
I really do hope that I helped you.

Chariots of the Gods? Is a book written by Erich von Daniken, it's about his theory of how human kind came to be and where religions started.

Pyramids are built by human beings (Erich von Daniken notwithstanding) and therefore they were not found, they were made.

Essentially, Mankind got too smart too fast, and Von Daniken credits this to alien intervention in the dim past. The theories are spread pretty thin, but he does have some interesting points. Other writers, such as David Childress ( love that last name,it was the maiden name of President Polk"s wife!) pronounced Chill-Dress an evening gown for suspended animation, huh. Anyhow Childress seems to be more Ground level than Von Daniken and hints at secret science of terrestrial origin that m ay have been kept secret for religious reasons.. as in Pyramidology, et al.
Basically, Von Daniken is concerned with the alleged space-travel and UFo existence and assistance to man, in the Ancient Past. One is reminded of a popular series of science fiction novels that had sidetracks into ancient cultures. if the cultures were extinct, there would be no ethical problems in picking up their artifacts and technology. One such novel ended with a ( presumably dead and inert) UFO resting on the ocean floor in , you guessed it, Atlantis, just outside the range of the underwater explorer"s equipment. Von Daniken did not get into Atlantis but really applied high-energies to the Ancient Astronauts theme. basically past-oriented. No future time tables. I have read Chariots, Gods from Outer Space, ( alternate title Return to the Stars) and Gold of the Gods, so I know my Von Daniken.
