It is not certain. But it is possible ,as shepherds in the Middle East will not keep their flocks in the open in December as it is to cold then.April or to June months yes. But not the date 17th. as it can not be said.

Yes there is scientific evidence that Jesus was born in April.
NOT THE 25TH OF DECEMBER!!


It is also believed that Jesus had a brother and was born about 6 years earlier then everyone suggested.

Dr. Mike Molnar, an astronomer, has some fascinating theories on the subject. If his theories are correct, then yes, Jesus was born on April 17, 6 B.C. I've been a faithful Christian for a long time, and when I heard what Dr. Molnar had to say, I was sold on the idea.

A few year's back, Dr. Molnar was featured in an episode of "Mummy Detective - The Three Kings" with famed archaeologist Bob Brier. I think it was on the Discovery Channel. If you can find it on DVD, I highly recommend it.
