Was human life started on earth by creation or evolution?

It is confirmed, per Islam religion, that Human kind started by Allah (God in English) creation of Adam from clay.

Quran, that is the Muslims holy book reflecting God words revelation to prophet Muhammad through the angel Gabriel, says:

{And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successive authority (Adam and his descendants)." They said, "Will You place upon it one who causes corruption therein and sheds blood, while we declare Your praise and sanctify You?" Allah said, "Indeed, I know that which you do not know." (30)}

{(God) Who perfected everything which He created and began the creation of man from clay. (7) Then He (God) made his posterity out of the extract of a liquid disdained. While nearly every religion has a creation story that says human life was started on earth by creation, there is another side to the story. Scientists have uncovered indisputable evidence that human life evolved from earlier hominids, including our immediate ancestors, Homo erectus.
