In The Bible, there are two thieves crucified alongside Jesus, one on his right and one on his left. The thief on Jesus' right is traditionally believed to have been saved because he repented and asked Jesus to remember him when he entered his kingdom. This is recounted in the Gospel of Luke, chapter 23, verses 39-43. The thief on Jesus' left, however, is not described as being saved in the biblical account.
The person on Jesus right on the cross , then it is a robber.
At the Crucifixion:The 'Good Thief" St Dismas was on Christ's RightandThe 'Bad Thief' named Gestas was on His Left.
JESUS was crucified with two criminals or two thiefs, one on His right, usually known as "Dimas" and this was the thief who believed in JESUS as a Lord and as a Savior, and the other thief was on the left of JESUS and this one denied JESUS as a Lord and a Savior.
What side was the thief on that repented? It depends on the side of Christ you see (Front of back). Perspective and frame of reference are not simply right and left. There are four more sides. We see two now.
the good thief was Dismas and the bad thief was GestasAnswerThey were crucified in the same way as Jesus. After being properly scourged they were nailed to their crosses. No pain and humiliation was saved to them. Dismas' cross was put on the right side of Jesus, while Gestas was crucified on Jesus' left. However, scripture does not name them and any names ascribed to them were later inventions.
He was on Jesus's left, but if you were facing the hill, he was on the right.
