The scripture traditionally read on Easter Sunday is the story of the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, as told in the New Testament of the Bible.
Roman Catholic AnswerAll Sundays are important but Palm Sunday, also known as Passion Sunday, is the Sunday before Easter on which the Passion is read in its entirety.
You might be mistaken. I have never heard of a 'Psalm Sunday' - but there is a 'Palm Sunday' which is the Sunday before Easter Sunday. It is so called because the Gospel read that day in Christian churches concerns itself with how Jesus rode into Jerusalem and was greeted by people laying palm-leaves in his path.
I actually found this to be an interesting question. Researching it brought me facts that I have never read before. To answer your question, the last Sunday is known as "Passiontide".
Roman Catholic AnswerThere are a number of Gospels read on Easter: The Easter Vigil is Matthew 28:1-10. The Mass in the morning is John 20:1-9, and the afternoon Gospel is Luke 24:13-35; all of which are about Jesus' resurrection from the dead, the empty tomb, etc.
Everybody has their own scripture. OR Before taking the church service the priest liked to read a line of scripture from his bible
although the Quraan (Muslim scripture) is translated into many different languages, Muslims generally read it in Arabic
At jesus time scripture were read from schrolls.
Easter Sunday is not in the Bible, but a creation of the Catholic Church in the Middle Ages based on the pagan holiday celebrating fertility. The church used the celebration to turn it into a Christian holiday ( they did this with Christmas too). The people couldn't read so they taught the Bible stories through various means. The stain glass windows taught the stories, passion plays, and the celebrations all taught the Bible to the population of the parish. Based on the biblical tradition of Jesus rising from the grave after 3 days the church actually made Easter on Monday rather than Sunday. This is the case in Europe today, but the United States has it on Sunday.
eat Easter eggs, go to church, read the bible, remember Jesus, have an Easter egg hunt. These are just afew of the things you can do. :)
"Seek ye out of the book of the Lord, AND READ..." (Isa.34:16).
This is said by Antonio in Shakespeare's Merchant of Venice.
Most people read scripture from the bible or a love poem. Read something that touches the heart or the bride and groom.
