The catholics mainly worship Mary as they say god found her perfect,
Roman Catholic AnswerIn the beginning of Luke's Gospel, the Archangel Gabriel told the Blessed Virgin Mary that she had found favor with God.
Mary was the mother of God's son, Jesus.
The Savior of the world, Jesus Christ, had to become a human being, a sinless human being to save mankind from their sin. So Jesus had a human mother, Mary, and His Father had to be God, because He was the Son of God. The angel Gabriel told Mary when he came to her, "Don't be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. God chooses men and women to do certain things upon this earth for His (God's) own good pleasure. Mary was chosen as she had found favor with God (Luke 1:26-38).
Mary learned what God's plan was for her when the Archangel Gabriel appeared to her and announced that she had found favor with God and would bear a son, would who be the Son of the Most High (God), see St. Luke, chapter 1, verses 26-38.
Mary agreed to be the mother of God's son, Jesus.
AnswerGenerally, Mary is recognised as the mother of Jesus. If Mary is demonstrated to be the mother of God, then that will be proof that God exists.
how did mary lead people to god
I assume Mary found favor with God in at least two ways. One being her lifestyle. She apparently lived honestly and according to the scriptures and the law. The other being her family line. Prophesy foretold from which lineage the Messiah would come. You can read about this in the gospels (not John). We often read in scripture about the sovereignty of God. We don't always understand the mind of God and how He acts with reference to the affairs of men but we do read in scripture that God often chooses certain people for certain roles. I am certain God chose Mary way, way before she ever lived. God intended for the Messiah to come from her family line and He knew when and where He would cause Messiah to come into the world. There may be other ways in which Mary found favor with God, but this is what I understand.
Pray to God through Christ. Don't pray to Mary, she is not God.
1. Mary, Mother of God 2. Mary, the Immaculate Conception 3. Mary, the Perpetual Virgin
Mary in the mother of Jesus, not of God.
