On the other hand, John's Gospel clearly spaces the mission of Jesus over three years and in this gospel his third Passover occurred on the evening following his crucifixion.
Another Answer:
Others have said there were 4 Passovers from the beginning of His ministry to His Crucifixion on Passover Day (Jewish tradition had days beginning at sunset with the night portion coming first). Sir Isacc Newton was a believer in four.
If His ministry began in the Autumn of His 30th year - some date this to 27 AD, then the first Passover would come about 5 months into His Ministry which lasted 3 1/2 years. He died at the 4th Passover in 31 AD as our Passover Lamb.
Jesus fasted for 40 days before beginning his ministry.
--------------------The gospels do not actually say how long the mission of Jesus lasted. However, scholars point out that the events described in the synoptic gospels (Matthew, Mark and Luke) could have been accomplished in a few weeks. There is no mention of the Passover from the beginning of his mission until the final journey to Jerusalem and for these reasons they believe that his entire mission, at least in the synoptic gospels, appears to have taken no more than a year.On the other hand, John's Gospel, by its references to the Passover (John 2:13, 6:4, 11:55, 12:1, 13:1), indicates that, for its author, the mission of Jesus lasted three years.
Jerusalem was the city where Jesus was crucified on the Friday, but rose to life again early on the Sunday. Many of the important events of Jesus' ministry also occurred there. The Holy Spirit came upon the believers at Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost.
Ministry is to Minister to people, to serve. Jesus was ministering from birth, through what he did, the attitudes and behaviours he had, just like we have our own unique ministry. However I assume you mean a formal ministry, in which I have no definite answer. All I can suggest is Jesus probably underwent Rabbi training, which takes many years to pass at the highest level. Jesus came to fulfil the Law, so he must have known the Scriptures and it's teachings inside out. Hope that helps :-)
Some individuals who were not eyewitnesses during Jesus' ministry include religious leaders outside of his immediate circle, those living in distant regions at the time, and many future generations who were not born yet.
Significant places in the life of Jesus in Palestine include Bethlehem (birth), Nazareth (childhood and early life), Capernaum (ministry base), Sea of Galilee (many miracles), Jerusalem (crucifixion and resurrection), and the Jordan River (baptism by John the Baptist). These locations are central to the Gospel narratives of Jesus' life and teachings.
Jesus came to John to be baptised shortly after he turned 30 years of age and he bagan his ministry at that time. He was executed when he was aproximately 33 1/2 years old, so his ministry lasted for aproximately 3 1/2 years
There are five folds of ministry (as Jesus taught in Ephesians 4): Prophets, Pastors, Teachers, Evangelists, and Apostles.
After John baptized Jesus, Jesus went to the wilderness to pray and fast for 40 days and nights.
During Jesus' ministry on earth, the word 'rich' occurs 25 times in the 4 Gospels. But as many of these have been repeated, you will have to look up the references in a concordance and sort them out.
Peter witnessed many more than 3 events in Jesus life, as he was with him for the three years of his ministry, but i suppose the most important came at the end of Jesus life, which were, his Crucifixion, his resurrection and his ascension.
After Jesus was born, Joseph continued to care for and protect Mary and Jesus. He played a role in their journey to Egypt to escape King Herod's threat to kill Jesus. Joseph is not mentioned much in the Bible after Jesus' childhood, leading many to believe he likely died before Jesus began his ministry.
