Sharia law is based on:

  1. Quran, Muslims holy book revealed by God to prophet Muhammad (PBUH),
  2. Sunnah, prophet Muhammad (PBUH) teachings (sayings and practices),
  3. Qias, comparing with similar cases in Quran or Sunnah. For example, drugs are forbidden although not mentioned in Quran and Sunnah but because drug effects are the same when compared with alcohol (that is forbidden in Quran and sunnah explicitly), and
  4. Ijmaa, issues where all Islam religion leaders agree upon.

Examples of Sharia laws could be referred to questions below for the Islam morals and for what is allowed for Muslim to eat and not to eat and other laws

In Connecticut the answer is Connecticut's Rules of Professional Conduct, which are rules of court adopted by the Judges of the Superior Court. Each state has its own legal ethics rules most of which are variations on the American Bar Association's Model Rules of Professional Conduct. The ABA Model Rules are not binding. The Rules of Professional Conduct describe the basic obligations lawyers owe to clients, third parties, to courts and to the profession. There can be tension and conflict among those obligations. Why should we maintain library rules?

Rules are created for a reason; without them, things would quickly become chaotic! For libraries, having a set of rules - also known as Library Policies or Codes of Conduct - allows patrons and library staff to understand what is and isn't acceptable behaviour, as well as the consequences of defying these rules. In addition, by maintaining the rules of the library, there will be more consistent enforcement, thereby reducing the chance that some individuals will "get away" with certain behaviours.
