Islam is based on Nature. It is a complete code of life. It makes it obligatory on every Muslim Man and Woman to get education.
Education is of two types.
1. Ilmul Adyan (Knowledge of Religion or Spiritual knowledge).
2. Ilmul Abdan - it includes all physical, scientific and social subjects

Those who get Physical/worldly knowledge generally ignore spiritual and religious knowledge. There is no shortcoming in Islamic Education System, the shortcoming lies in the Muslims who could not evolve an Education System that could have been able to cater to the needs and demands of ever the changing new age.
