Islam celebrates two main and very important holidays. we celebrate, eid-ul-fitr, and eid-ul-adah. eid-ul-fitr comes after a whole month of fasting. and eid-ul-adah comes a few months after eid-ul-fitr. there is no specific date for these celebrations, because we rely on the lunar moon calender.

The holidays of Islam are Eid Al Adha and Eid Al Fitr.

In Eid Al Adha, Muslims have the first 9 of the month of Thul Hija to fast. The first 8 are optional but the 9th is mandatory. The 10th day is the Eid. On Eid, almost all Muslims slaughter either a sheep or cow.

In Eid Al Fitr, all Muslims except the ones who are pregnant or very sick fast the full month of Ramadan. It is 29 or 30 days.
