It means that communications, prayers and supplications directed to the Father will only be heard by those whose faith and trust is in His Son. Those whom Jesus knows, personally... whom His Father has given to Him... and whom Jesus acknowledges to His Father that HE KNOWS THEM [Matt.7:23].
"Whosoever therefore shall confess Me before men, him will I confess also before My Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny Me before men, him will I deny before My Father which is in heaven." (Matt.10:32-33)
"All things are delivered unto Me of My Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal Him." (Matt.11:27)
As "intolerant" and "hateful" as the world may think it to be: According to The Bible... the common belief among many religions that all men ultimately worship the same God, and that there are many paths to salvation through any number of gods, isn't true. One's faith and trust in Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation and to His Father in heaven.
Another Response:
When Jesus is quoted as saying, "No man comes to the Father but by me," he can be understood as referring to obedience to his own teachings as well as to the attitude and actions of love by which followers of Christ are distinguished.
For example, in Luke 8:20 and 22, Jesus says, "My Mother and my Brothers are these who hear the word of God and do it." And in John 15, Jesus says, "This is my commandment, that you love one another, as I have loved you."
When read and understood in this manner, the requirements of Jesus of Nazareth are identical with that of the Hebrew prophet, Micah 6:8, "What does the Lord require of you, but to do justice, and to love mercy, and walk humbly with your God?" So by the sacrificial life and death of Jesus Christ, the way "to the Father" is open to any and all persons - not only men or only members of a particular religion or race - who follow (live) in the way of justice, kindness, humility and love.
"I am the Way, the TRUTH, and the life. No man cometh unto the Father but by Me." Jesus said these words in John 6:14, so Jesus is the truth.
his is not correct. Jesus said that no one comes to the father but through me.
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
jesus told us how to worship God when he spoke to the Samaritan woman towards the beginning of his ministry. This is what he said to her: John 4.23. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

Jesus said, be compassionate as your heavenly father is compassionate.
Jesus never said that, because He is not the way to salvation, He is the salvation Luke 2:30 - "For mine eyes have seen thy salvation", and He is the only way to God, John 14:6- "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." How many times Jesus said one thing or another we cannot know, but if He said it once, it is enough to bet your life on it.
When Jesus said, "I am the Son of God," he was referring to his divine nature and relationship with God as his Father. This statement signifies his belief in his unique connection to God and his role as the Messiah.
Jesus step father is Joseph, because god gave Jesus to Mary and Joseph
Christ Said that anything we request of the Father in His Name, The Father Will Give.
Here is the Scripture that you refer to: Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake (John 14.11) Jesus said this in response to Philip's question, "Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us." (John 14.8) Philip was one of Jesus' twelve disciples and had seen many of Jesus' miracles, and Jesus was reminding him that: "he that hath seen me hath seen the Father;" (John 14.9) And - "he doeth the works." (John 14.10) And so Jesus' works prove his statement: Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? (John 14.10)
Jesus Said to forgive them. Luke 23:24 Father,Forgive them for they do not know what they do.
