What do muslim use to pray?

1. They use water for ablution (minor or major ablution)
2. They may use rags for praying upon (optional as Muslims are allowed to pray in any dry clean place)
3. They may use compass to define the Qibla (or direction to face during praying) if they are on travel in a different non Muslim majority country
4. They recite Quran during praying

Before starting prayer Muslims do a ritual called 'Wudoo' which is to purify/clean ones self. Wudoo consists of washing both hands, the mouth, nose, face, arms, hair, ears and both feet all 3 times, and saying some special prayers before and after.

We normally use a prayer mat since it is not really hygienic to pray on the naked floor (especially when outside) since we put our face on the floor within prayer (this position is called 'Sujood'

Some Muslims also use a prayer compass, when praying outside of the home, to calculate the direction of the Qibla (which is the Kaaba in Makkah, Saudi Arabia)
