That Abraham ls a type of God the Father is best seen the offering up of Isaac as a sacrifice. In Genesis 22, a father [Abraham] (in verse 2) is told to sacrifice his only son, his beloved son [Isaac], and after 3 days travelling (v.3-4) [during which time the father Abraham regarded his son Isaac as good as dead] they reached Mt Moriah [2000 yrs later that particular topographical location was called Golgotha] where Isaac was about to die when a ram was substituted as a sacrificial offering instead [ our sacrificial offering is Jesus Christ]. Abraham himself said that "God will provide himself a lamb for a [sacrifice]"propheseying of Jesus Christ who took our sins upon Himself and died instead of us that we might live.

Gen 22:7-8 KJV And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, " My father": and he said, "Here am I, my son". And he said, "Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?" (v.8) And Abraham said, "My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering": so they went both of them together.

Gen 22:13-14 KJV And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son. (v.14) And Abraham called the name of that placeJehovahjireh: as it is said to this day,"In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen".

This is prophesying of the substitutionary sacrificial death of Jesus Christ , not his birth. It has nothing to do with His birth.

Gen 22:16-18 KJV And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: (v.17) That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; (v.18) And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.
