The LDS Conference Center has a beautiful large pulpit which was made using the wood from a 35 year old Black Walnut tree that was planted by former Church President Gordon B. Hinckley in his backyard. It was designed and built by Fetzer's Woodworking following the suggestion of Seventy Ben Banks and his sons Ben and Bradley.

The pulpit is a beautiful rich brown. The front is divided into three sections, the middle section sticking out further than the side two. Each side section has three small squares engraved at the top and the image of a beehive inside a square frame engraved in an inset below that. The middle section has a long rectangle flanked by two small squares, with a beehive inside a square frame below. The sides of the pulpit mirror the front, with nine small squares engraved along the top edge and two beehives each framed by a square below them.

The top of the pulpit, visible to the speaker, contains a computer screen (to be used as a teleprompter and to help the speaker keep within the allotted time frame), a microphone, and a large white pad which helps reflect the lighting properly onto the speaker's face.

Images of the pulpit from all angles can be seen by performing a simple image search at Google.com/images.
