What else... other than what? - Two things they avoid is (1) working on Saturdays, and (2) eating meat. At least, I understand that many Adventists are vegetarians.
Yes some Adventists eat chicken. It is not prohibited, as it is a kosher meat, however a majority of Seventh-day Adventists are vegetarian. If you are considering preparing food for a group of Seventh-day Adventists, it may be better to prepare a vegetarian meal.
No. There is no requirement for Adventists to have beards. Cultural norms are usually followed in this area by Adventists around the world. It is true that in most pictures of the Adventist pioneers, the men have beards, but that is simply because wearing a beard was the cultural norm for men in the time and place in which the pioneers lived.
Seventh-day Adventists avoid consuming seafood for several reasons. One primary reason is their interpretation of the dietary laws outlined in the Old Testament, specifically in Leviticus and Deuteronomy, which classify certain seafood as unclean. Additionally, Seventh-day Adventists typically follow a health-conscious lifestyle, and many believe that seafood may contain higher levels of contaminants such as mercury and pollutants. Lastly, some Adventists choose to avoid seafood as part of their commitment to a vegetarian or plant-based diet, which is encouraged within the Seventh-day Adventist faith.
Some Pentecostal sects and Seventh-day Adventists do.
Some to avoid clashing with somebody else with a similar name and others just for effect.
no we dont because it is kind of like a drug ~ We can drink caffeine but it is discouraged because the caffeine is actually a drug/stimulant. There are Adventists who do drink caffeine, some more than others. Some Adventists believe if it's in "moderation" it's okay. But, the church ADVISES to not drink coffee, Coca-Cola, etc. with any amounts of caffeine.
Adventists and Catholics have different beliefs and practices. Adventists focus on the Second Coming of Jesus and follow the teachings of Ellen G. White, while Catholics emphasize the authority of the Pope and tradition. Adventists worship on Saturdays, while Catholics worship on Sundays. Adventists do not believe in the concept of purgatory, while Catholics do. These are some key differences between the two faiths.
Some are vegetarians and others follow the dietary laws in Leviticus 11
Individual Adventists may have quite different opinions on this topic, but there is no official church statement or doctrine that prohibits it. In some countries, interracial marriage may not be culturally appropriate, but that has nothing to do with the church's position.
This question is a source of controversy. Many Seventh-day Adventists believe that she was. Others, including some Adventists, do not. She herself did not want faith in her to be a requirement for membership in the Adventist church (which it is not). There is evidence from her life, her writings, and her visions which is conclusive for many.
Some do some don't it depends on the type of christian like SDA Christians (Seventh Day Adventists)
They go to a blood bank or a hospital and they get a blood transfusion or receive blood by IV, just like anyone else. Seventh-day Adventists are not like Jehovah's Witnesses and certain other groups that believe that people should not give or receive blood. Some Adventist churches and schools actually stage blood drives, asking all of the members to (voluntarily) donate blood to save other peoples' lives.
