The Jews revolted
The Jews revolted against Rome in the year 68. Rome destroyed the Temple in Jerusalem while suppressing this revolt. The Jews revolted again in the year 132. Rome destroyed Jerusalem, killed at least half a million Jews, enslaved many, drove the remainder out of Judea, and renamed Judea Palestine.
The Zealots. These were a group of dangerous hotheads who ignored the advice of the Rabbis and fomented war against the Romans, leaving the Romans no choice but to crush the people and destroy the city of Jerusalem (Talmud, Gittin 56).
The Romans destroyed Jerusalem because the Jews of Judea rebelled against their Roman masters.
I am pretty sure they revolted because of who The Jews Believed In. And also the Jews Religion (Judaism)
Within the Roman Empire, it was only the Jews who practiced guerrilla tactics (not terrorism) against the Romans during their various rebellions. Later in history the Jews revolted against the Byzantine emperor Heraclius and joined the Persian Emperor Khosrau II during the Byzantine-Sasanian War of 602-628. It started during the Siege of Antioch (in Syria) in 613 when the Persians managed to hold on to their conquests in Syria and the Jews joined him and culminated with the conquest of Jerusalem in 614 by a joint Persian-Jewish force. However, this was regular warfare, not guerrilla or terrorism.
Jews Were Banned From Jerusalem
The Jews revolted
because King Herod was a part of the Roman Empire, and the Romans were against the Jews.
It was the Zealots
The previous answer was wrong. At first, The Romans simply made Judea a client state, and if I may add, they weren't even Christian at the time. But in 66 AD, the Jews revolted against the Roman Empire, and the Romans actually took it over, making it a province. So the answer to your question basically is that the Romans just wanted another province into the empire.
The Jews rebelled against Roman rule in Palestine.
