A:

I can be quite certain that it would make no difference what a non-believer does before the 'Tribulation'. This was a theological invention of John Nelson Darby, founder of the Plymouth Brethren, in the nineteenth-century, and on that basis hardly a threat to non-believers. Barbara R. Rossing (The Rapture Exposed) says that according to one critic, the Rapture has its origins with a young girl's vision. In 1830, in Port Glasgow, Scotland, fifteen-year-old Margaret MacDonald attended a healing service, where she was said to have seen a vision of a two-stage return of Jesus Christ. The story of her vision was adopted and amplified by Darby.

Darby's new teaching was that Christ would return twice, first in secret to "Rapture" Christians out of the world and up to heaven, then a second time after seven years of global tribulation for non-believers, to establish a Jerusalem-based kingdom on earth. According to John Darby and his followers, non-believers would suffer through the seven years of tribulation, although they may be given the chance to convert and be saved.

There is no good reason to believe there will ever be a Rapture or a related period of tribulation, nor that the events portrayed by Darby will ever occur. Therefore, there is no good reason to believe that non-believers would ever face the so-called Tribulation. John Nelson Darby has sunk into obscurity, apart from his followers in the Plymouth Brethren, and so should his Tribulation.

Can you please explain to me what is tribulation?

The Tribulation is a seven-year period in which great disasters occur and MANY people die. Post-trib people believe this happens before the Rapture, when God calls the saved to heaven instantly. The more Biblical argument, Pre-trib is that the Rapture will take place before the Tribulation.

Who did Jesus say will not see tribulation?

Jesus did not mention a single person who will miss tribulation in their lifetime. In fact He mentioned that His followers would have tribulation in their lives just by being His followers. Trials and tribulations are a fact of life. If you are speaking of the "Great Tribulation", persons who die before that time comes about will miss that terrible time and some Christians believe that they will be taken to heaven before that time comes.

What is the mid trib rapture theory and how does it differ from other rapture theories?

The mid-tribulation rapture theory is a belief that the rapture of Christians will occur halfway through the seven-year period of tribulation described in the Bible. This theory differs from other rapture theories, such as pre-tribulation and post-tribulation, which posit that the rapture will happen before or after the tribulation period, respectively.

Does the Rapture occur before during or after the Great Tribulation?

There are varying views on this subject, but I believe the Scripture teaches a pre-Tribulation rapture for these three reasons: Rahab was rescued by the spies when they went to Jericho. This is a type of Christians being saved before trouble comes Lot, Abraham's nephew, was saved from Sodom before destruction came there, another type of the rapture. Also, Paul said in one of his letters, "God has not appointed us to wrath" And wrath is what the tribulation will be about. You have to make up lyour own mind on the subject. Whenever it happens, the point is that you are ready spiritually. If not, now is the time to make sure.

Which comes first the tribulation or second coming?

Yes it does and it will. The church will be taken out of the world before Gods great judgment falls upon it.Another answer:Many Christians believe that the "rapture" is false doctrine based on misinterpretations of Scripture, and that the tribulation is already well underway.

Is Jesus going to take the church home before the tribulation or after it?

This depends on which version of the Rapture you decide to believe in. The Rapture was a theological invention of to John Nelson Darby, a nineteenth-century British evangelical preacher and founder of the Plymouth Brethren. John Nelson Darby has sunk into obscurity, apart from the Plymouth Brethren and his predictions. Those who still believe in the rapture hold different views, including a 'pre-tribulation' rapture, a 'post-tribulation' rapture and even a 'mid-tribulation' rapture. Similarly, they hold a wide range of opinions about when it will happen or what signs will precede the rapture. You can only be certain it will not happen in your lifetime or the lifetimes of your children or grandchildren.
