Jesus achieved what no other man could ever achieve.
When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden they died spiritually. They had sinned against God and were at emnity against God. Every person who has ever been born since that time has been born without the Spirit of God within them. But God desired that mankind be regathered to Him. The only way this could happen is that a sacrifice had to be made that would remove sin. The Old Testament animal sacrifices only covered sin from year to year on the day of Atonement. Jesus, the Son of God came to earth as a baby. (God became a human being) He was a perfect man. There was no sin in Him. He was the perfect sacrifice to take away (Remove) sin from mankind. This He did when He died on the cross, was buried and rose from the grave on the third day. But Jesus' sacrifice is not an automatic free pass to heaven. It is your and other person's to individually accept Jesus as their Savior. This is the only way this sacrifice will benefit you. John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life, No one comes to the Father (God in heaven) except through Me." Jesus achieved many other things but this is the most important. Without Jesus' sacrifice all of mankind would spend eternity in HELL. It is your choice if He calls you.
