A "robber of God" is a person who does not pay God 10% of their income. Although to some it may seem like a way for churches to get money, that is not so. In Malachi 8 and 9 of the Old Testament, it says, "Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation."

Paying our tithes, or the ten percent of our income, is very important to God. It shows Him that we are serious about Him, and that we do indeed put Him as the first priority in our lives.
