An agnostic pantheist is a person who, lacking proof of any particular god, may explore or even worship many gods from widely differing religions in order to either find truth in a single or combination of gods, or (infrequently) to hedge their bets in the hope that one of the many gods they worship might be the right one to gain entrance into the afterlife.
Edit: With apologies to the author of the above (myself -- apology accepted) the above answer was almost completely wrong. An agnostic pantheist is a person (that's the part I got right) who suspects that there is no god but is not convinced of this belief. They therefore profess that god is more of a metaphor for everything in the universe including matter, energy, and the laws of physics which governs the cosmos. This metaphoric god, according to the pantheist, has no consciousness per se and certainly does not interfere or care what happens in the matters of man.
Richard Dawkins, a world renowned evolutionary biologist and stanch atheist, describes pantheism as "sexed-up Atheism" in his book, The God Delusion.
No, she is an agnostic.
Agnostic Front was created in 1980.
The main difference between an agnostic theist and an agnostic atheist is that an agnostic theist believes in the existence of a higher power or deity but acknowledges that it cannot be proven, while an agnostic atheist does not believe in a higher power or deity and also acknowledges that it cannot be proven.
There is no "the" agnostic. An agnostic is a person whom does not see enough evidence to prove or disprove God's existence, and they don't really dwell on it.
George Orwell was an agnostic.
I can understand an agnostic position, but it seems to me that to be an atheist requires just as much faith as a belief in God. Agnostic is an adjective and a state of mind so it would be used to describe someone. I was going to church thinking about god then i realized that i was agnostic. Another example of using agnostic in a sentence is, "How can you use agnostic in a sentence?" Technically, you already used agnostic in a sentence. Oops, I did it too!
Of course, why not. But are you sure that you are an agnostic? For example most deeply religious observant catholics would consider themselves agnostic. Indeed, being an agnostic is an important aspect of being a devout Christian or Jew. So by stating that you are "agnostic" is not saying much.
I disagree, being an agnostic myself. I would be interested to hear why you think that nobody can be an agnostic, since you obviously did when you posted this question.
Are you absolutely sure there is a god? Are you absolutely sure there is no god?If neither, then you are agnostic.
Yes, that is a typical agnostic. Without knowledge.
He has claimed to have a faith in God.He said he was agnostic about the issue of raising taxes.
The word Agnostic, key word Gnostic meaning pertaining to knowledge; To know. Agnostic is without knowledge. and in most cases it is not KNOWING if there is or is not a god. Which is different than Theism and Atheism which is pertaining to the BELIEF of there being a god or gods.
