The Bible is 'the book of knowledge' for Christians. The Bible is divided into two parts, the Old Testament and the New Testament.

The word testament means covenant or agreement.

The Old Testament tells the history of mankind from creation to about 400 years before the birth of Jesus Christ. The Old Testament also tells about the birth of the nation of Israel and God's dealing with them as His chosen people. The Old Testament is composed of 39 books they are historical, poetic and prophetic writings.
