The Koran is not a sequential narrative in the way that the Hebrew Bible is, and does not provide a parallel narrative. However, the Koran clearly accepts the biblical story of the creation and lives of Adam and Eve, as well as adding Islamic traditions.
When God created Adam from clay, the Devil refused to prostrate himself before Adam, as commanded by God, whereupon he was expelled from Eden. The Koran says that Adam erected the Kaaba on earth but this was destroyed during the Flood and Abraham was instructed to rebuild it, assisted by Ishmail. Unlike the Old Testament, the Koran does not blame Eve for taking the forbidden fruit: Sura 007.019-020: "O Adam! dwell thou and thy wife in the Garden, and enjoy (its good things) as ye wish: but approach not this tree, or ye run into harm and transgression." Then began Satan to whisper suggestions to them, bringing openly before their minds all their shame that was hidden from them (before): he said: "Your Lord only forbade you this tree, lest ye should become angels or such beings as live for ever."
After, The Qur'an was written about 650 years after the last books of the Bible were compiled. This is the reason for some of the apparently similar (although differing) accounts of Jesus, Mary, Adam.. in the Qur'an.
The Koran is not a narrative, as is the Bible, and so does not set out a creation narrative. There are frequent references throughout the Koran to Adam and Eve, and to the biblical act of creation. The Islamic religious view of creation is essentially the same as the Judeo-Christian one.
Eternity
The Koran was written between 610 and 632 AD by the prophet Muhammad as revealed by the angel Gabriel from God. The book of Revelation (the final book in the Christian Bible) has been dated from 68-89 AD, making it significantly older than the writing of Muhammad. However, the Koran does attest to the accuracy of the accounts of Adam, Abraham, Moses, and the psalms of David from the Old Testament. It also refers to the fact that Jesus was a great teacher and prophet from God, but dispute the Christians belief that Jesus is the Son of God. There are many similarities between the two texts, but the differences far outweigh the similarities.
