The Book of Mormon and the Mormon Church have never claimed that the Nephites or the Jaredites lived in New York, so there has been little or no archeology research done to prove if they did. At most, New York was briefly visited by Moroni, the last living Nephite, who buried the plates in the Hill Cumorah. It is generally believed that he travelled there alone or with a very small group from a region that is now in or near Mexico. Since it was just a very small group for a very brief period of time, there would be no archelological evidence for them being there.
