Well if I understand your question correctly, I don't think the average atheist has any solid evidence of when the world will end, nor do Christians or any other religion.
There seems to be a widespread misconception that atheists have a system of belief similar to religious systems. They do not. There is no atheistic body of evidence to explain things. There is no atheist point of view about when and how the universe will end. Generally they pay heed to scientific studies and theories.
Answer:
If by atheist you mean "secular" or "nonreligious" there are many scientific proofs available for the existence of earth and human life over a period in the past coming to the present. For life this includes fossils, radiation. location in strata and so on. For the time for the Universe's existence until now the cosmic background microwave radiation, viewable distances, the ages of stars and other methods provide some data. However the future is not viewable to science or religion with any certainty. Science can postulate scenarios that give potential estimates if things proceedin a certain manner, but changing the setting of the scenario constraints changes the estimates.
Atheist - If he is sure there there is no specific god because of the impossibility and/or improbability of his existence. Agnostic - Not sure whether there is a god or not. Usually does not care. An atheist is the opposite of a theist. The theist believes there is evidence for the existence of their favorite god. The atheist does not. It would be illogical for the atheist to "deny" the existence of something for which there is no evidence. Atheism is merely the lack of a belief. Knowledge is absolute. Since nobody can know with absolute certainty no gods exist, everyone is agnostic. So the so-called "agnostic" has the same lack of knowledge as the atheist or theist has. It's just commonly accepted that an agnostic does not commit either way.
The difference between the two is that agnostics believe that there may or may not be a god(s) while atheists believe that there is no god(s).Agnostics believe that the question of the existence of a God can neither be affirmed nor denied, either temporarily or permanently. An atheist has no belief in any god(s) whatsoever.A person may also be an agnostic atheist, meaning that they are not convinced that a God exists but are open to being convinced in light of further scientific evidence that may be put forward if it is incontrovertible. Even a firm atheist can be convinced of the existence of a God in light of incontrovertible scientific proof.
atheists Edit: An Atheist doesn't believe there is a god. A strong atheist believes there are no gods. Agnosticism addresses a question of knowledge not belief. Gnostic=Know Agnostic=Don't Know An Atheist or a Theist can both be either a Gnostic or an Agnostic.
The universe as we know it encompasses all of space, time, matter, and energy. It is thought to be infinite and expanding. There is no current scientific evidence to suggest that the universe is contained within a larger space.
You have asked an extremely broad question, because there are countless theories about the universe and its existence. I will mention some of them. 1. The universe exists because God created it, which He did for reasons which may be difficult for the limited human intellect to comprehend. 2. The existence of the universe is entirely accidental, and is the result of quantum fluctuation. Since the vacuum can give rise to virtual particles, perhaps it can also give rise to an entire universe, given enough time in which to do so. 3. The universe doesn't really exist, you just think it does. 4. The universe has always existed, hence, there is no point in time when it was created, either by a deity or by accident. The reason why the universe has always existed is not known.
It is a topic of scientific debate, but currently, there is no empirical evidence to prove the existence of multiple universes beyond our own. The concept of a multiverse is a theoretical idea proposed by some physicists and cosmologists to explain certain phenomena, but it remains speculative.
Simply say: "I have no religion." Someone who states they have no religion may either be an atheist or simply be someone who may believe in a god or other supernatural force but doesn't follow any organized religion. An atheist is simply someone who does not believe in a god or gods. They have examined their world and find no evidence of the existence of a god. There are also many people who claim to be "spiritual but not religious." They believe in some greater power but they do not belong to a specific religion. Another opinion: you cant its something that you have an opinion on whether you like it or not
The purpose of science is not to deny the existence of God, and a scientist is not an atheist by definition. Answer:Metaphysics is not the province of science, science deals with the real world . The purpose of science is to break down barriers to knowledge and utilize that knowledge to further mankind's understanding of the Universe. If science could prove (or disprove) the existence of god(s) the results would be unsatisfactory to all theists concerned. A proof that there was no god(s) would either not be accepted or cause the disappearance of religion. A proof that there was a god(s) would show that the god(s) are subject to the physical rules of the universe and subject to the scientists' tests. In either of these cases the god(s) would not be omnipotent or above everything, which would make them just another real world phenomenon, not supernatural.
Because they either want to, or have evidence and/or reason to believe so.'Want' being from the fascination of extraterrestrials and their capabilities, and perhaps the personal attachment of being part of something more vast and mysterious.'Evidence' being from the sightings, reports and documentations of over thirty million people, or perhaps personal experience only explained through the intervention of aliens. And,'Reason' from the ancient scientific and philosophical questions regarding the size of the universe and potential habitation of other life as evidence of our own existence.
No. But he is not a Christian either. Although he has said he believes in God.
AnswerThey did not really exist, so they did not have to go anywhere. The stories about them are just myths. There is no archaeological evidence for their existence either before or after the arrival of the Israelites.
Depends on what you mean by know. Most people who believe in him claim to know him either "spiritually" or literally but since there's no evidence for either side (or for his existence in the first place), it's left up to opinion.
