Answer ABecause he was the founder of the Islamic religion... I'm not a Muslim, so there might be more to know on this...[hint on Answer above: Islamic religion was not founded by prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) but founded by God revelation of quran to prophet Muhammad, through the angel Gabriel. God Quran revelation to the prophet continued from year 610 AD through year 6342 AD (year of prophet death).Answer BThe best reason is that prophet Muhammad honestly conveyed God revelation of Quran to his followers and preached them to the right path to God (Allah).Answer CWe do love Muhammad very much for his great morals , & because he is our teacher & leader to each good , because if you look in Islam's history you'll know that he suffered alot to serve the humanity & conveying the message with all of its responsibilities & despite all the difficulties .He transmitted people from darkness, ignorance, oppression ,bad deeds to each good thing ,to justice,to the shining light of knowledge & what kind of knowledge was it ? it 's the knowldge of Allah i.e the highest & greatest one!How don't we love the one that Allah says about him in the Holy Quran :"وانك لعلى خلق عظيم"i.e" you are of a great moral", keep in mind that when Allah says the word (great)it's completely different from our word (great).... it's great with all of what the word means as it said by Allah,& he is the greatest. This is just hint and not full answer.
