There are many famous churches in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic.

However, probably the most famous is St Vitus' Cathedral which is found within Prague Castle on a hill overlooking the city. Apart from being a stunningly beautiful building and architecturally wonderful, its real claim to fame is that it is the last resting place of St Wenceslas, a Godly man who became king of that area.

Wenceslas may be familiar to you as 'Good King Wenceslas' of the Christmas carol, but far from being just a story (as many believe) Wenceslas was a real king who brought Christianity to those parts and was made a saint as a result. His tomb is a small, humble affair with a roofed plinth housed in a small chapel on the south-east end of the cathedral.
