Everybody has a sense of morality. We all know that murder is wrong. We all know that stealing is wrong. Even someone in the middle of Africa who is not exposed to the media would still know that there is a great difference between right and wrong. The moral code exists and stands and is of the highest of values, but, like a diamond ring, it is designed to be worn, not just to sit idle in a glass box. C.S. Lewis, in an impression of some of his writings, says in Mere Christianity that due to the fact that each person comprehends a moral code that is deeply similar in all cultures and religions, and people have the choice to obey the right and wrong, that it is evidence for the existence and creation of God- every single moral system, legal system, poltiical system and social system finding deep roots in Biblical scripture.
A moral code is a code of conduct that people live by. Someone with morals will know right from wrong.
