Names of God depend on your religion. Christianity gives God titles -- The Lord, the Almighty, the Most High. Jesus Christ is the only part of the Christian God who receives an actual name.
In Judaism, God also receives titles -- Elohim, Elyon, El Shaddai. These resemble (as far as I understand) the same sorts of phrases used in Christianity. Yahweh and Jehovah are also names/titles, I believe.
In Islam, God is called Allah, but I don't know the origin of the word.
Hope this helped and that someone else can make this even clearer. :)
