I would nominate Buddhism. Shakyamuni Buddha taught, "Do not believe anything I have said on the basis of my authority, but rather examine all my teachings with logic and against your own experience." While the Dhammapada and the other Sutras (sermons) are both deep and complex, in the 2500 years since the Buddha's life, millions of dedicated individuals have carefully examined Skakyamuni Buddha's teachings and no basic fault has been found in them; further, modern science continues to support and discover the validity of his teachings.

Religious History, along side Secular History, has proven that true "religion" has always been the core base as to whether a Nation will act, or will be acted upon, sanely or not.

That's an opinion question and many will say their own, but in the strict sense of the word they all are religions. "True" could be taken in many contexts, but by the very nature of religion, none can be proven to be "true"which is what makes them a religion. Faith is required.
It is a proposition that is believed to be true but has not [yet] been proven to be true. Clearly, if proven to be false it would no longer be a conjecture.
Unlike religion, science need objective and strong evidence before giving credit to a theory as explanation of something. And anything that has been proven "true" can always be proven wrong by any other new theory which fits better or simoly be proven wrong.
