no. They will use the hand held scanner on the parts of your body with no visible metal.

Well actually no they are not safe. Simply because the fingers get into everything, bacteria and dirt can cause nothing but grief for a piercing in a finger and the body will push the piercing out. It's one of those piercings that just doesn't make and sense.
A piercer at a shop can make a lot of money. Of course they don't get paid by the shop at all. It all depends on how much each piercing is, and how much the shop charges. For example the shop I work at charges at least forty five dollars a piercing. Now pairs of piercings cost more along with genital piercings and surface piercings (piercings usually on arm, chest, neck). The piercer usually gives $10 sometimes more for every piercing. The ususal amount I leave with is $300 a night. And I work 4 nights a week. $1200 a week, $4800 a month, $57600 a year. Now it can always be more depending on speed, how many hours/days you work, location, and price of piercing.
You are under age.You have poor personal hygiene. You are not intelligent enough to look after piercings. You are happy without piercings. You are too scared to get piercings. You don't have the cash to afford professional body piercings. You have a job that won't allow visible piercings. You don't like body piercings. You don't understand body piercing nor do you want to understand them. You are happy with where you are at, and piercings won't make you happier.
No you don't. Most steel and titanium used for body piercings is undetectable by metal-detectors. I have 1" solid stainless surgical steel plugs in my lobes, not to mention all my other piercings, and I make it through the airport-no problem.

Tongue piercings are a lot of fun. They are fun to play with, especially if you're the type to always have something in your mouth - gum, paper clips, lollipops, etc. They can also be a form of body art, for displaying a personality type, etc. They can also serve as a 'rebellious' cry or a call for a certain kind of attention. They're also sexy for some people. They draw attention to your mouth and tongue which can be sexually stimulating. On the topic of sex, they can also be a fun accessory for oral play.
To defend there country or state! The biggest wars are caused because of religions.
Tattoos and piercings have always had a place in the world. In many third world countries and tribal cultures, receiving a tattoo or a body piercing is a right of passage. The presence of these body modifications may be indicative of a person’s social or marital status. In America, tattoos and piercings are generally considered a form of art and self expression. There is another side of this form of body modification in America however and that is how the visibility of tattoos and piercings are often a bright flag waving for people to make a judgment call about the person who has them. Certain types of tattoos and piercings are quite popular in the United States. Ear piercings are quite common amongst women, especially those of certain ethnic backgrounds. They are also quite popular amongst men and teenage boys. Other popular forms of piercings are nose rings, the Monroe, eyebrow piercings, tongue rings, industrials, and ear plugs. Ear plugs can vary greatly in size. Tattoos are even more popular and it is quite common to see people who have the names of their children, religious symbols, memorials to deceased friends and family, as well as designs such as ladybugs, tribal, barbwire, and butterflies. Each person has their own reason behind getting these body modifications performed whether it be to commemorate an event or memory or simply because they like the idea. Other people however may have many piercings and tattoos, some visible and some not. People often judge others by the piercings and tattoos that can be seen regardless of the reason behind them. Many businesses prefer not to hire people with visible tattoos or piercings because they feel that they are not professional, from banks to fast food places. Some business owners and individuals feel that these things are an indication of a lack of self respect or addictive behavior. People have even been turned down from renting homes and apartments due to having piercings and tattoos that were not generally offensive in nature. There is no law that considers these practices a form of discrimination. Careful consideration should be made when deciding to undergo the process.
It depends on the piercing.
