There are conflicting reports as to what caused Mother Teresa's death. Some sources say she died of a heart attack, possibly because of her old age, on 5 September 1997. Others say she died after a fall is which she broke her collarbone and some ribs, which in turn punctured her lungs. Perhaps it was a combination of the two.

Other sources say the legendary Mother Teresa had various health problems. She suffered from malaria, had heart problems and was suffering from pneumonia. She reportedly died of cardiac arrest in her religious order's headquarters in Calcutta India, on a Friday.

The spokeswoman for Missionaries of Charity said the Roman Catholic nun died at 9:30 p.m. The cause of death was a massive heart attack and stroke. Mother Teresa was a very unique person of enormous love, generosity, courage and determination. She and her work will definitely not be forgotten.
