AnswerThe Book of Psalms does not mention Jesus, either directly by name or indirectly in any way by which we can identify him. None of the psalms contains any reference to Jesus or prophecy of him. The New Testament authors did, however, know the Old Testament and did quote passages from it, just as we would quote a favourite passage today. Some consider Psalm 22 to contain such a prophecy. Others believe that Paul and his apostles fit the "Messiah", Jesus, around the conditions required of a Messiah (by the Old Testament, or Hebrew Bible).
