Where in the bible do it say you shouldn't get tattos?

Althogh the New Testiment Does Not state anything about Tattoos, The Old Testiment Spicifically States... In (LEVITICUS 19:28)

"You shall not make any cuts in your body for the dead nor make any tattoo marks on yourselves: I am the LORD... "

The Cuts to the Body part is Said to be Referring to the PAGAN Rituals, that after a persons death, they would cut there flesh to keep something to remember them by.

and the Tattoo part is obvious,

it ain't me that says that tattoo makes you look like a Deucshe, its God himself.

The old testiment is also the one that is extremely close to both Islam, and Judiasm.

"Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD"

This is correct. The New International Version has it: "'Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the LORD.

God created our bodies in His Image and purpose. Now that His Holy Spirit is freely available after Christ's resurrection, all who repent and are baptized as Peter boldly said in Acts 2:38, are eligible to become 'begotten' by the Holy Spirit within us - our Temple for God to dwell. Therefore, we are prohibited to defile our Temple physically or morally.

Christianity is made up of thousands of different sects each with their own rules. The truth is that God said that our body is a temple and we should treat it as such. Don't throw graffiti on the temple.

There is nothing in scripture that expressly forbids tattoos. They only reference is Leviticus 19:28, but that only fodbids tattoos taht are done for the purpose of idolatry. However, there are several passages that refer to one's body as being a temple and is sacred. Hence, scritpure says the following:

1 - A tattoo may not be used for the purpose of worshipping false idols, and

2 - A tattoo is permissible so long as it does not disrespect the body, or diminishes the sacredness of one's body.
