Shri Guru Gobind singh ji
its a debatable question, but its quite obvious that the greatest Guru of all time is Jesus Christ.------------------------ANS:-2Jesus Christ is the son of God and not a Guru.ANS.3:Jesus Christ is considered as son of God and not a Guru as in Sikhism.
Guru Nanak is the final and eternal guru of the Sikhs. He was the first of the Gurus to find the Sikh religion.
Guru Nanak is the final and eternal guru of the Sikhs. He was the first of the Gurus to find the Sikh religion.
There were ten Gurus in total. The final Guru Gobind Singh said that the Guruship would be passed to the holy book of the Sikhs, the Guru Granth Sahib. The community of the Sikhs is also called Guru Panth. God is known as Sat Guru the true Guru.
Guru Granth Sahib Ji (the Sikhs holy book) contains the actual spoken words by the Sikh Gurus and thus those Words themselves are now the Guru of Sikhs. Furthermore, Sikhs consider Guru Granth Sahib Ji as the Living Embodiment of Guru for the same reason. Sikhs don't treat Guru Granth Sahib Ji as Holy Book but as a Living Guru. Also, the 10th Guru, Guru Gobing Singh Ji, announced himself that out final guru would be the Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
No because the Guru Granth Sahib was the 11th Guru and that was a Holy book!
he was the last living guru
they are not they are two different people. guru nanak dev ji is the first living of the Sikh teachers and guru gobind sing ji is the last of the living guru's
he was the first guru
The name of the 11th and final Guru is the Guru Granth Sahib Ji, the Sikhs holy book.
The tenth Guru of Sikhs, Guru Gobind Singh Ji, declared "Guru Granth Sahib Ji" as the eternal and perpetual Guru of the Sikhs. Generally, speaking outside Sikhism Guru Granth Sahib Ji is seen just as a holy scripture or a holy book as Holy Bible or Koran but within Sikhism it is not seen as holy scripture but is treated as a living embodiment of Sikh Gurus and considered as their final Guru.
Sikhism was started by the first Sikh Guru, Guru Nanak. His most famous saying being:Higher the Tryth is Truthful Living He was then suceeded by 9 other living Guru's. The collective teachings of these Guru's (and other Saints) have been written in the Sikh Holy Book, The Guru Granth Sahib.
