Joseph of Arimathaea:
Matthew 27:57 When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus' disciple:
Matthew 27:58 He went to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered.
Matthew 27:59 And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,
Matthew 27:60 And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed.
Egyptians built tombs to bury their dead kings in.
A man gave up his tomb (for when he died) to put Jesus in. I can't remember they man's name though.... When Jesus was deceased, they removed him from the cross, they then placed his body in a sealed cave that was protected by guards.
No we simply fast to feel what Jesus did when he gave up his life for us
There was a loud noise, which could very well be an earthquake, when Jesus gave up his spirit.
As the tomb was closed and sealed by the roman governor, and anyone breaking it could face death. But there was a earhquake and the the very big rock of the tonb was rolled away.
He gave up his spirit.
He gave up everything so that He could give us a chance, meaning He took on our sin and gave up His life
he gave up his life for our salvation and to save us from sin
He gave up his life to save all of ours, and cleanse us of sin. He then was buried in a large tomb, and three days later, rose from the grave and ascended into heaven. If you go to church it mostly explains it in the prayers.
Jesus wasn't trapped. He is the almighty KING of KINGS. The event is called Resurrection Morning,Good Friday or Easter. You can choose one of those in which you would like to call it when the time comes in which you are speaking about it.
Yes it can be viewed that Jesus was a voluntarily leader. He gave up himself for the salvation of mankind, and He did not need anything in return.
