He was 7 years old.
Jehoash of Judah was born in -844.
Jehoash was 7 when he became king. 2 Kings 11 21 Jehoash was seven years old when he became king. They started young in those days: Josiah and Jehoichin [also called Jehoiakin, Jehoiachin] began ruling when they were 8 2 Kings 22 1 Josiah was eight years old when he became king, and he reigned thirty-one years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Jedidah the daughter of Adaiah of Bozkath 2 Chronicles 36 9 Jehoiachin was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned three months and ten days in Jerusalem: and he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD. --
The NIV Bible translation of 2 Kings 14:9 is the following:"But Jehoash king of Israel replied to Amaziah king of Judah: "A thistle in Lebanon sent a message to a cedar in Lebanon, 'Give your daughter to my son in marriage.' Then a wild beast in Lebanon came along and trampled the thistle underfoot."The commentary from the NIV Study Bible describes this verse as follows:"Jehoash king of Israel replied to Amaziah in the form of a fable - a kind of a story designed to teach a moral. By speaking of Amaziah as a thistle in comparison with the cedar of Lebanon, Jehoash tried to help Amaziah put a more realistic construction on his recent victory."
2 Kings 11:21: "Seven years old [was] Jehoash when he began to reign." It appears that Joash and Jehoash were one and the same person. He became the King of Judah and reigned for 40 years, doing that which was good in the sight of the Lord. In fact he was one of the best kings to ever reign. I believe there was a king of Israel with the same name who ruled in Samaria a little further in the history of the Kings of Judah and Israel. These two states were separate kingdoms and had separate kings and were normal feuding with each other. From the verse above you can read the whole story>
The exact date of his birth is not known. However, after serving as Elijah's attendant for about six years, Elisha then served as a prophet during the reign of Kings Ahab, Abaziah, Jehoram, Jehu and Jehoash for about 60 years. He succeeded Elijah around 917 BCE (2 Kings 1:17, when King Jehoram began to reign) Jehu ruled from 917 to 905 B.C.E. Elisha died during the reign of King Jehoash (2 Kings 13:14-19) Jehoash ruled from 898 to 859 B.C.E. If you factor in that he must have been at least 30 when he went into service with Elijah,we can only conclude that Elisha was born before 763 BC. See attached links for additonal information.
It can either be Yo'ash (יואש) or Yeho'ash (יהואש)

There were a number of YOUNG kings in Jerusalem and Israel Josiahstarted ruling in Jeruselum when he was 8 years old, and ruled for 31 years… Jehoash became king when he was 7 and reigned in Jerusalemfor 40 years… so they BOTH would have been 'thirteen year old kings' at some point…
There were two Jeroboam's in Israel's history that influenced their country. The first was Jeroboam the first king of the northern kingdom. He was the son of Nebat, an Ephraimite and a woman by the name of Zeruah (I Kings 11:26). The second was Jeroboam II and was the 14 th king of the northern kingdom. He was the son of Jehoash. (II Kings 13 and 14).
Abijah of Judah died in -912.
Enoch is said to have been taken up to heaven without experiencing death, as mentioned in the Bible in Genesis 5:24. Elisha, a prophet in the Old Testament, died of natural causes during the reign of King Jehoash of Israel. The exact dates of their deaths are not specified in historical records.
