It was written by King David son of Jesse in The Bible. He was having very big life trouble when he wrote it.
I'm not exactly sure when it was written, but it has to be some time in the late B.C.'s!
Hope this helps!
King David wrote most or all of the psalms.
The authorship of Psalm 119 is attributed to King David. It is the longest chapter in the Book of Psalms and is a reflection on the importance of God's word in the life of a believer.
My favorite psalms is 119. It is 176 verses long. There is not official composer mentioned and no one is sure who wrote it. Many attribute it to King David because the tone and quality of the message is Davidic.
