Why are the official copies of the Quran only written in Arabic?

The Qur'an answers this question itself, in Chapter 43, Verse 3: "Indeed, We have made it an Arabic Qur'an that you might understand."

The message of God revealed through Muhammad (S) was initially told to the Arabs, in Saudi Arabia. No one would understand the Qur'an and what God was trying to say if it was revealed in another language, as the Arabs of Mecca and Madinah spoke the Arabic language. Today, the Arabic language is spoken by over 200 million people and there are numerous translations of the original text in all languages, so that all of mankind can understand.

The Holy Divine verses of the Holy Quran were originally revealed in Arabic & consequently it was first written in Arabic which is its original form that is found until thesedays since the Arabic is a living language spoken by millions of people around the world. However, the Holy Quran has been translated into too many languages worldwide if not into all of them.
