In Mark's Gospel, Jesus spoke the last words, "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" which is certainly puzzling, especially in the light of the Trinity doctrine.
Matthew faithfully copies Mark, but the author of Luke was not prepared to do so, replacing these words with, "Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit."
