Why did people convert to christianity?

People all around the world are converting to Islam because it is THE religion. This is the the true religion. You may heard many bad things about Islam in the media and news, which are wrong 99% of the time. People say that women don't have equal rigthts as man which is totally wrong. Women have much as right as men. People say that Muslim do jihad. People don't understand what jihad is. Jihad is to defend yourself it's not to kill nonmuslim.

Of course not every Muslim are good but it doesn't mean that one Muslim is bad that everyone is. In the media what they do is that they show one bad Muslim and make think people that everyone is like that. Read the Quran and you will understand everything. People are not converting to Islam for nothing. Search Islam for yourself, don't listen to media and news.

Why not? It makes the most sense, the Qur'an teaches you everything you need to know about life. Search any question which bothers you in Islam/Quran/Hadith. You will find the satisfactory answer as many Muslim convert found it.

Let me relates to you two incidents during my Los Angeles life. I was studying Computer Systems and Programming in wilshire district. I met two new converts inIslamic Center on Vermont Ave. I was curious why they convert?. So I asked them while we were eating after Juma prayer, What make you accept the Islam?

Story from First Convert: I was looking for Ghost. I knew there is a ghost, but Bible does not validate the fact. Then I went on search thru Hollywood Book stores. I studied Torah, Geeta, Budhist, Ramayan, Jain, Parsi but did not find anything. Finally sales man of Hollywood book store asked me "Did you study Quran?" this is the last book left for you. I did not have choice, so I took it. I started reading slowly and some time randomly opening the pages. On third day I found about JINN or GHOST.

Then I realised the truth about Ghost or Jinn, that they are human being. Made of smokeless fire. They are just like us. They have family, childrens etc. But there are more bad guys then in human race. That is the reason they do more mischief then man. You can not catch them easily.

Then I dicided to convert to Islam. While going on Vermont Avenue to Hollywood, He noticed Islamic Center sign and he accepted Islam there.

Story of Second is little bit diffrent, but in sort "Quran" is the main source for them to accept ISLAM.

TIPS: If you know any Ghost House is for sale, buy it in bargain price. Do this as Prophet Mohammed said. "Put Grapefruit in the Ghost House or Your house and NO JINN/GHOST will come to your house". The same reason why not all people in the world are Muslims or why all people of the world are Christians. Islam is a religion who read in it and got convinced with its truthfulness and authenticity, then he/she converts to Islam. Who does not know about Islam basics and authenticity, he/she does not convert to it.

Pagans were forcibly converted, but Christians and Jews were allowed to continue in their faiths, which many of them did, at least for the first centuries. There are five main possibilities:

1) The Christian comes to the conclusion that Islam is a more-correct or completely correct vision of reality.

In this case, the Christian who is studying Islam or speaking to Muslims or sees Muslim prayer, sees something spiritual, honest, or truthful in it and decides to convert. In the case of Westerners who convert to Islam, many of them believe that Islam lacks the common issues with Christianity, such as its women's rights issues, gay right's issues, and historic repression of minorities. Others see Christianity as being vapid, since they have only really met lapsed Christians, but Islam appears to be spiritual, since most Muslims or more committed. Still others are persuaded by argumentation.

2) The Christian wants to marry a Muslim and the Muslim (or his/her family) makes conversion to Islam requisite for the marriage.

This is pretty straightforward. Most Muslims will demand that their partner convert to Islam in order to marry them or, at the very least, will require all of the children of the marriage to grow up Muslim. As a result, since the other partner is less concerned about this, that partner will convert because they are in love.

3) In Muslim-majority countries currently, and especially historically, created a set of benefits that only Muslims could partake, making conversion tied to choices about economic viability or social standing.

Islamic States have historically created a set of limits for Non-Muslims including which trades you could work, whether you could be affiliated with the government, where you could live, what taxes you had to pay, what legal defenses you had to misconduct, which were all worse than those granted to Muslims. Additionally, aristocrats risked losing their titles and social standing if they did not convert. In both cases, most people decided that their economic and social circumstances were more important than their faith. The vast majority of the world's Muslims today converted under these circumstances or are the descendants of those who did.

4) Sometimes Muslims arrived with vastly superior technology and the Christians considered the technological supremacy indicative of Islam being the correct faith.

This is also pretty straightforward and generally worked with converting Animists in Africa and Indonesia, more-so than Christians because the technology was usually not vastly different. The idea here is that when Muslims arrived in illiterate societies and showed their literacy or more advanced weaponry, they were deemed to be an advanced society worth copying, including their religion.

5) Some Christians have converted because of forcible conversion to Islam (but this is far rarer than the other four).

Some rulers, like Islamic State currently or the Almohads in the past, has forced Christians to convert to Islam on pain of death or injury.
